When I found out I was going to Portland in 2009 I knew I had to find Elliott Smith. I wanted to walk in the footsteps of a genius, not just an incredible musician, but someone who had changed my life. I wanted to feel closer to a man that I would never get the chance to meet. It was the best day of my life.
